- EXCLUSIVE: Aamir Khan approached for a hilarious role in Sidharth Malhotra-Mahaveer Jain-Raaj Shaandilyaa’s out-and-out entertaineron 21/05/2025 at 6:27 PM
In September 2024, Bollywood Hungama was the first one to break the news that Sidharth Malhotra has bagged an out-and-out commercial entertainer. In April, we revealed that Raaj Shaandilyaa of Dream Girl (2019) fame will be directing this flick. And now we have heard that if all goes well, this film might feature none other than superstar Aamir Khan as well.A source told Bollywood Hungama, “There’s a very hilarious character in the film and producer Mahaveer Jain and director Raaj Shaandilyaa feel that Aamir Khan can do complete justice to it. Hence, they approached the superstar. Aamir graciously accepted the offer of narration.”The source continued, “Aamir Khan just has a small suggestion – he wants to hear the narration after the release of his next, Sitaare Zameen Par. Right now, the actor wants to give his full concentration to his creation. Once the film is out on June 20, he’ll be in a great space to hear the narration and decide whether he wants to be a part of it.”The source added, “Nevertheless, Raa Shaandilyaa and writer Sanjeev are very excited that they have got the opportunity to narrate their film to one of the biggest stars of Indian cinema.”Speaking more on Aamir Khan’s character, the source said, “It’s a very interesting and pivotal role. Also, it’s one of its kind. The makers intend to present Aamir Khan in a never-before-seen avatar.”The film goes on floors in September 2025. Last year, a source told Bollywood Hungama, “The film has loads of comedy and also has a thrill element. Sidharth Malhotra excitedly came on board as he knows that it’s a film that’ll present him in a never-before-seen avatar and also expand his fan base. As a result, he’s giving his hundred per cent towards prepping for the role.”Also Read: First song from Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par titled ‘Good For Nothing’ to release on May 22

- Karan Tacker wears rare Rolex worth Rs 18 lakha at Tanvi: The Great Cannes panelon 21/05/2025 at 1:26 PM
Time, they say, waits for no one. But when Karan Tacker walked into the Cannes 2025 panel for Tanvi: The Great, time stood still—or at least it glinted handsomely on his wrist. The actor, already stealing hearts with his big-screen debut, made a bold tick-tock statement by sporting the rare and ravishing Rolex GMT Master II ‘Root Beer’ – a timepiece worth a cool Rs 18 lakhs. This horological head-turner is a time-telling indicator of Tacker’s rise in Indian cinema. With its signature two-tone Cerachrom bezel in black and brown, the “Root Beer” is beloved by collectors and connoisseurs for its warm yet bold palette. And Tacker wore it like a man in sync with his moment. But that wasn’t the only element ticking all the right boxes. Karan’s striking maroon ensemble by Manish Malhotra redefined Riviera red carpet fashion. The tailored suit—sharp, structured, and unapologetically bold—was layered over a matching open-collared shirt, delivering just the right dose of effortless charm and beachside elegance on the clock. The rich burgundy tones complemented the warm hues of the Root Beer dial and bezel. It was a match made in timekeeping heaven—the kind of style synergy that doesn’t happen often, but when it does, you better watch out. With Tanvi: The Great being hailed as one of the most intriguing Indian entries this year, Tacker’s appearance was one for the ages. Also Read: Karan Tacker to play captain Samar Raina in Anupam Kher’s Tanvi The Great

- Foreign aid: shortfall since 1970 almost $5 trillion; greater than aid givenon 28/09/2014 at 10:38 PM
Over 40 years ago, rich country governments agreed to give 0.7% of their GNI (Gross National Income) as official aid to poor countries for development assistance. The average aid delivered each year has actually been between 0.2 to 0.4%. The shortfall has therefore accumulated to almost $5 trillion dollars at 2012 prices, while total aid delivered in that same time frame has reached $3.6 trillion. This update includes updated charts and graphs that look into this further. Read full article: Official global foreign aid shortfall: $4 trillion
- Foreign aid: rebounds in 2013 to highest levels ever despite budget pressures, but still way below promised amountson 28/09/2014 at 10:38 PM
The OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) recently published new preliminary figures for aid in 2013. It showed official development assistance (ODA) aid from wealthy governments had increased to just under $135 billion in 2013 (at constant 2012 prices). This is roughly 0.3% of GNI (Gross National Income) of the donor nations. Yet, over 40 years ago nations promised to reach 0.7% of their GNI by the mid-1970s. While each year the amount of aid falls quite short of that 0.7% target (less than half of that target), the quality and effectiveness of that aid is often questionable, sometimes benefiting the donor more than the recipient due to the types of conditions attached to this aid. This update includes a number of new and updated charts and graphs. Read full article: Foreign Aid for Development Assistance
